This is the classic new blog, first post! My previous site was using Astro, whilst I liked the theme it was very Astro specific so this time i’ve decided to just make it very minimal so I can make the barrier to writing very low.
I liked Astro for the most part, but I got stuck when I went down the rabbit-hole of trying to generate Open Graph images to share posts nicely, I just couldn’t work it out, then I broke my template and the errors just kept coming. So in a moment of frustration I’ve built a new theme and am back to using trusty Hugo.
I hope to write more now and share snippets when I can at least, but we’ll see how it goes! I’ve been tinkering with lots of things in my free time, so maybe I’ll get to write a bit about them, or be able to post about building something.
